Apprenticeship Awards 2022

We are delighted to share with everyone that our colleague, Amy, has received the Cambridge Regional College Business & Management Apprentice of the Year Award 2022, and we congratulate her on this wonderful achievement.

As a result of the award, winners have been presented with their award and interviewed by CRC to celebrate their achievements.

Mo Horan, Director of Employer Engagement at Cambridge Regional College said, “The achievements of both apprentices and employers have been magnificent across the CRC Apprenticeship Awards. Amy impressed the judges with how she embraced her learning and development and, as her nominator put it, ‘her endless enthusiasm to learn and develop’. She has also been responsible for researching and implementing new systems at Open Arch, showing the impact and value apprentices can have on businesses. I am delighted to offer my heartfelt congratulations to Amy and all the winners.”

On receiving her award, Amy had this to say …

“Completing my apprenticeship has been a great achievement. It has allowed me to secure a business qualification while also learning the skills and knowledge it takes to fulfil my full-time job. I feel I gained confidence in many different aspects of my role as an administration apprentice, from speaking with our tenants all the way to introducing and implementing a new property inventory system.

Winning the Business & Management Apprentice of the Year Award 2022 was such a lovely surprise and I feel proud to have won. I feel motivated to continue my hard work and continually benefit the company”.

Amy has worked incredibly hard over the past 18 months to complete her apprenticeship and has proved herself to be a real asset to our business. As a result, once she completed her apprenticeship, she was immediately offered permanent employment with OpenArch.

OpenArch sees great value in investing in all our staff, not least those starting their careers in property, and offering varied opportunities to work within a successful Cambridgeshire property investment company.  Aside from the obvious benefit to employees, there is significant benefit to an employer in being able to nurture an individual through an apprenticeship and see them develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career.

Our thanks extend to CRC who have assisted OpenArch throughout the apprenticeship programme and especially for the support and guidance given to Amy from her tutor and CRC.

Reflecting on Amy’s journey through her apprenticeship to winning her award our Managing Director, Michael Horan, commented “I am delighted that not only has Amy completed her apprenticeship with us, but she has done it in such a focused, diligent and professional way.  To also win the award from CRC is the icing on the cake, and it is richly deserved. Amy was an excellent addition to the team from the day she joined us, and she has gone from strength to strength ever since.  She has a very bright future“
